If well planned cook on the chuck wagon... would have been stocked with many canned goods  like peaches  cherries pears you got it even pumpkin.. ,..there are all kinds of cookies and treats the cowhands could carry in their pockets..

Depends on the cook.. I bet a good one would have lots of jerky.too!!
