    If you are a musician or want to be one, no matter what your musical interest is, study those who were famous. Don't just idolize today's musicians.


  3. Without George Gershwin the world would have never had "Rhapsody In Blue", or anything like it. The composition stands alone in it's own category of music, and will be listened to centuries from now. Gershwin got the inspiration for the tune listening to the train on the tracks he was riding from Philadelphia to New York.  Supposed to be a combination of classical music and modern jazz of the 20's, no one ever came close to producing anything  like it.

    Listen to it once real close, and you'll never get tired of it.
