I was quoted $150, just to take the groundhogs from my trap (NJ). After 2 removals, this is getting way too expensive. How much have you paid to have a groundhog removed and what state?

In NJ, the state and local government does not get involved with wildlife removal.

  1. Are you mad just release it away from your home

  2. Jeeze thats a lot and you are the one cetching them!!!

well i think you should do something about your fence so they cant get inside, this will save you a lottttttttttttttttttt of time and money and maybe some injuries!!

bury chicken wire all along your fence like about 4-5 feet down all the way around. This way they cant dig into your yard!

Also clog up holes you haev in your fence if any...

  3. This is very true in alot of states now FL If you trap an animal you can also release it with no cost to you and if you have one there will be more these animals live in PACKS so start to release your self its so easy just have a pair of gloves a strong stick long enough to protect your self in case but the animal will run out the cage and never look back  you also have to take the animal a distance from home or it will return so get the cage and work the release and when you do have a critter you will know how to let loose Ive trapped 4 raccoons 9 cats and 2possums all let free and happy. I called for game and fish they don't do have to call a licensed animal catcher these people also charge to set up a trap and release it for you when you can do both your self and so much cheaper.

  4. I'll charge $200. I find people who trap wildlife who are afraid of them -- dead or alive.  They could have rabies, fleas, diseases. Dead is easiest. I just find a spot to bury it. Sometimes I get lazy and and throw it in the trash. If live, I would have to kill it first and then bury it.  It is hard work being an exterminator. Have you every tried to remove a rat from a glue trap?

I was just kidding. Why not release it in some far away public land yourself.

SORRY! Now to answer your question. $150 is the going rate in New Jersey per one service call from an exterminator for non-termite work.
