  6. Fava beans go back to ancient times. So does mullukkia, the green soup.

    It interesting that the offering tables show foods in their whole/raw form, whole raw ducks, whole vegetables, whole  loaves of bread. They don't show prepared dishes. Probably  because the food on the offering table was symbolic.

    You can see leeks or onions, cucumbers, cuts of beef, baskets of fruit.

    They drank a lot of beer, and wine also.

  9. The drawings on walls dating to the ancient Egyptian era show us geese, ducks, buffalo, cows, fruits, vegetables onions, bread.

    We aslo know that they ate garlic, oils, radishes and beans.

    the Ancient Egyptians were lean due to their diet that rested on vegetables and fish.
