  1. They had jewelery, slaves, fine garments, lived in gorgeous homes, ate a rich and varied diet, drank the best wine, and traveled about in a litter carried by slaves. You must remember that both the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire had a long history, and that in the first few hundred years of the Republic, women had much lower status and life was more spartan. By the time of the Empire, the aristocracy grew extremely rich from taxation of the provinces, trading in luxury goods such as silk and wild animals. and so on. Women gained a few rights over the entire period - widows had much better status later on than they did in the early days of the Republic.

  2. Agita

  3. Well.... **thinking**..... money /-:

Nah, they had fine linen, usually pale or purple if they where noble.

Servants and servant headquarters are an obvious give away.

A very high quality shrine but i would say that belongs more to the entire of her family.

Rich Roman women had a lot more authority and power compared to the average commoner, and even though this isn't a thing i would advice you cover this aspect in your essay...

    GOOD LUCK!!
