  2. They mined tin and copper, and made their weapons of bronze (which combines the two) There were small amounts of nickel mined, which, when combined with copper, produces brass. Brass and bronze were what most of their weapons were made of. Their iron was very low grade and didn't make very strong swords - those came, mostly, from the Continent.
