What did the father of anne frank work for?

i need help. i forget. =) if u read the book u should no, but i forget cuz it was a while ago when i read it. please help!

I think he worked for Opetka, but I know that the family went into hiding in a secret section of the office he worked in, near the Leilegracht in Amsterdam.  I just visited to Anne Frank's house last week, but I did not take the tour again.  Perhaps someone can confirm Opetka.
