What did the tooth fairy bring your child the first time?

Our daughter just lost her first tooth (almost 6) and I know there are a lot of different parenting styles, but what did your child (or someones you know) get for their first tooth?

We told her that the tooth fairy always leaves more for the very first tooth because it is the most special one.

  1. 5 bucks and a tooth fairy "pillow"

  2. i only got 25 cents for my first tooth. i would decide how much you want to give her each time she loses a tooth and give a little more than that i think its really up to you though. i knew kids who got $1-$5 a tooth

  3. One dollar

  4. It is a very personal decision. Just remember, if this is your first child, are you going to be able to keep it up if you have a large family?

  5. 5 bucks

  6. one dollar per tooth

  7. This is funny.  The night my son lost his first tooth he was all excited because he thought that the tooth fairy was going to bring him a $100 bill.  I told him that I did not think she carried bills that large.  That night the tooth fairy brought him a $1 and he woke up just as excited.  He told me that he still thought her wings would have been big enough to carry the $100 bill (large bill).

  8. my first tooth was 25 cents because "it was the smallest one".

it gradually grew to $5 for my last tooth.

    (pretty d**n gradual, no? lol)

  9. I think the tooth fairy left a $5 bill for the first tooth, and $1 for the ones after that.  But at our friend's house, the tooth fairy always leaves foreign coins, and the kids have started a pretty nifty a coin collection.  I think that's a lot cooler than plain old US currency.  Although one time we got a panicky phone call at midnight because the tooth fairy had run out of foreign coins.  Luckily we had a few laying around and could help her out!

  10. 10bucks and a toothbrush

  11. Hi i have a 6 yr old daughter and she lost her first tooth about 2 months ago and the tooth fairy brought her $3 i also told her that the first tooth is worth  more because it's special. so the next time i think the tooth fairy will bring lirk $2 it can get pretty expensive i have a 10 yr old daughter and she's been losing her teeth left and right for the last 3 months so the tooth fairy brings her between $1.50 and $2. she doesnt seem to mind as long as she gets something...lol  good luck
