I love this riddle.
There was once a merchant who had a son. His son was very lazy and his father had had enough of it.
One day the father told his son that he had a task for him. He told his son, I want you to go out to the local market and buy something for us to eat, for us to drink, for the cow to eat, and something for us to plant in the garden. Then the man gave the son a single coin. "How am i going to buy all of that with a single coin???" said the son, and the father simply said that is for you to figure out.
The son went off crying, as he passed a woman working in a corn field. THe woman asked him what was wrong, and he told her that his father had given him a single coin, to purchase an item to feed them, to feed the cow, something for them to drink, and something to plant in the garden. The woman immidately told the son what he needed to buy. When the son came back home, he saw a smile on his fathers face, when he came back with an item to feed them, their cow, somthing for them to drink, and somethign to plant in the garden.
What did he buy?
Sorry if the story is confusing...
