  1. the waste could of been used in a number of ways:

    to fill areas to landscape, to flatten land- hills etc

    use for construction, ie bricks....

  5. Most of it went to build the embankments at the outer ends of the lines or to keep gradients to a minimum, and I know of only one place where the spoil was actually "tipped", and that was at Park Royal, which later became part of the Guinness Brewery site.
