What did this statement mean?

At work, I was asked to be a co-adviser for a club at the school i work at. I am naturally soft-spoken and have a fairly shy personality when I'm not teaching. So, when I agreed to be the co-adviser, my co-worker was really happy. As he was leaving the room, he smiled and said to one of our other coworkers: "We have to work on getting her out of the classroom"

What did he mean? Do you think they think badly of me?

  1. Spreading your talent around and not just in the class room.

  2. Sounds like you have a lot of abilities and that you need to use your talents not only in the classroom, but also in other activities.    I would take it as a compliment.    Sounds like an opportunity to expand your horizons.

  3. There's no telling...

  4. How did he say it? what kind of smile was it?. do u guys get along well?  he could have meant any number of things. he could of meant that you spend to much time in the classroom. maybe he wants you to spread your talents.  i dont think he thinks badly of you. it could be that he thinks you dont do or say much when your not in the classroom. the best thing to do is to just ask him to know for sure.
