what did u think of that fight was it a good fight or what?

As 4 me i thought is was kind of bad 4 him, because he didn't knock him out and he did have a couple of changes to do so.Yea i know that Forbes has never been knocked out but come on it's oscer de la hoya, and also some ppl said that he wasn't supost TKO him cuz it was just a tune-up fight and he was just sparing on Forbes just to show what he's going to do 2 Matweather.Well that's jusy me.What about yall?

And who u think is going to win De La Hoya or Mayweather? And how Tko?

  1. De la hoya should quit. He beat a guy (Forbes) who lost to an unranked fighter two fights ago-what a joke!

  2. I was a little dissapointed because like many I wanted a knockout. Forbes is a B level fighter and if DLH wants to compete against top fighters he should be able to finish them like they did( ex: Calzaghe-Manfredo, Cotto-Gomez). But yes the point of this fight was more to learn and adjust. I didn't like his balance on this fight. Sometimes he would miss a couple of punches and be left open which he can get caught easily with Floyds quick check hooks. To be fair his jab was good and I saw an improvement in stamina. As for the bruised face, I don't think he was worried about forbes power with 9 kos just trying to learn on how to adjust to their defensive style.  I have a feeling the second fight will be better than the first(hopefully), and I'll probably get thumbs down for this but I pick DLH winning anyway.

  3. Not Much

  4. i was let down.if forbes can mess his face up that bad then imagine what floyd will do

  5. I thought it was a good performance from Oscar, BUT I took it like it was- a tuneup, nothing more, nothing less.  The Forbes fight did not do anything to convince me that Oscar can beat Floyd Mayweather, Jr. in their rematch.  The Forbes fight was basically just an extended and glorified sparring session- he can fight a tailor-made and hand-picked opponent like Forbes 100 times and he will win 100 times, but that does not change the fact that Mayweather is still the better fighter and will still beat him in their rematch.  As for how I think the Mayweather rematch will go- I think that Floyd beats him easier this time and by a unanimous decision.  A lot of people are always saying that "Oscar can win if he uses his jab", but what they don't realize is that there was a very simple reason why he stopped jabbing in the first fight and I'll tell you what it is- Floyd started to time it and counter him with the straight right.  And now, Mayweather will be even more conscious of the jab this time and he will be able to counter it even more effectively, which will allow him to win even more decisively this time.

  6. ITS A JOKE, you saw de la hoyas face, it was more messed up then forbes,

Theres no way mayweather will loose there rematch.

Also no way cotto will loose vs de la hoya

De la hoya should quit while hes ahead,

  7. I was at the fight, i was excited that i was gonna watch De La Hoya and i just knew i was in for a quick match and see a quick KO after the 1st round, i was a little impressed than after tye 2nd round i figured maybe De La Hoya was just waiting for his chance and than the 3rd round came and after seeing what i saw, i lost complete interest and i was bored to death. what i saw was Oscar swinging away at Forbes hitting him at will and right when he had the chance to KO him, Oscar backed away and let Forbes get back into the match, after the 3rd round, i lost just a little more respect for Oscar and i was picturingmhis post fight interview in my head if he were to end up losing, i figured he would have some something along the lines of "I should have won, i gave him a boxing lesson blah blah blah" thats pretty much what he has said everytime he has lost, well at least i only paid $150.00 for my ticket. as for who would win the rematch, well honestly i have no interest in who wins, what i wanna know is who's on the undercard?
