I really didn't like it.  Nadal is ruthless on court but he doesn't actually hurt anyone and never would.  Federer always behaves like a gentleman.  The boxing spin is nasty IMO.  I wish they hadn't gone along with it, but hey, what Nike wants Nike gets (they sponsored it).

My 5 y.o. nephew enjoys tennis, but I wouldn't want him to connect it with a brutal event (can't call it sport) such as boxing.  

I don't think it's the image tennis should be aiming for.  Not even if it's supposed to be tongue-in-cheek.

Hahahahahhahah I agree with you! But anything to do with the top players in the world always seems great to me!! I love seeing Rafa and Roger together. The pictures of the conference also turned out great!

loved it! The "grapple in the apple" is great. Tennis is a multi-million dollar sport that needs promotion like every other sport.

The US Open has the biggest prize money---Roger and Rafa are the biggest draws for the sport. They have been battling for the last 2 years. So what is not to like about the PR spin?  Don King for all his faults knows how to promote an event. Its about promotion, promotion, promotion and he does know how to do that.

Deal with it and the economic reality of the sport.
