my daughter is 1 in 2 days. i really really struggled trying to come up with ideas of what to get her.

i decided on a rock and ride lottie (M&P), my FIL took me to pick it up and he paid for it while i was looking round the shop - it was meant to be her big pressie from mummy and daddy, but not now.

so i got her the little people noahs arc, an activity table, a trampoline, a brthday bear from the bear factory, a fifi bubble mower, aa lil barney plane, a lil makka pakka uff puff, a disney princess phone.

i wanted to really go all out on her birthday, but i feel like ive hardly got her anything - which is probably partly due to us not buying her big pressie.

and i know material things do not matter, but she is my first baby and i wanted her spoiled. and i also understand she will most likely be more interested in the boxes and the paper!

  1. I got my son a HUGE bag full of mega lego blocks.

  2. I'm going to go the opposite way with this and I hope this doesn't come out mean or negative (i certainly don't mean it that way) but here it goes....

You've already gotten your baby a lot of things for her birthday so I wouldn't worry about it. And if you love to spoil her, you probably get her stuff all the time, right? Likewise your mother, siblings, or friends may have hopped on that bandwagon as well.

Anyway, keep in mind that she's only turning one. She doesn't yet really comprehend birthdays and christmas. In fact, you may have a hard time getting her to open everything!

I would suggest waiting a couple years before you start big presents along with the others. Then she'll be old enough that you can really see her face light up!

  3. some educational toys .. and you may want to check my website

it's really a cool gift idea

  4. Mine just turned 1 on last Thursday...

Im buying him stuff ALL THE TIME so presents was pretty difficult, because he already has everything. But anyway..I got him some toys from his favorite TV show (Yo Gabba Gabba). He just loved those and recognized them from tv and smiled really big when he saw them. I also got him this outdoor chair thing that has a canopy to shelter him from the sun. We live by a lake so i think he'll use it a lot this summer and next summer. I also got him an activity table that he can stand at and play with.

everyone got him toys, so I kind of wish I got him more clothes...

not that I dont buy him clothes on a weekly basis anyway.

  5. sounds like you've given her loads. besides, she's not going to remember this day so it doesn't really matter to her in the long run. do take lots of pictures so she can look at them later. i got my son a puzzle, some books, a playphone and this pop up castle tent that he can sit in. he loves the tent and it's big but it wasn't very expensive. here's a similar one

  6. a german shepherd or doberman that will protect it as it grows up

  7. My daughter is turning one in a few weeks and I have thought a little bit about it. I think that the more expensive the less they like it...at least that is the case with my little girl. I think she would find joy in the boxes and paper. I want to get her a bunch more cheap toys because I think she is bored with the ones she has. When she gets clothes....I think that is for me haha.

  8. hiya it was my daughters 1st birthday last month and we bought here a trampoline, some puzzles, a tamborine instument, a little doll with "my first birthday" written on and a little pillow with an elephant on with her name on the front and on the back "Happy 1st birthday love mammy + daddy".  We had a family tea party in the house, we had a lovely day.

hope your little one has a lovely 1st birthday too xx

  9. I got my daughter bounce and spin zebra from argos, noisy but fun. She loves it and has lots of hours fun with it.

  10. We got our son a pool with loads of plastic balls for his first birthday. He loved it. He's 4 now and still does!

  11. If you want to buy her more than do it?

Look in the argos catologue or go to toys r us.

  12. I think the presents you have already bought your daughter will make her a very lucky little girl. They all sound so wonderful.

If you wish to spoil her further, I think you should buy her a beautiful new little dress that she can wear on the special day and perhaps a personalised cake that can be remembered for years to come with photographs etc of her around her first candle.

    :)

It will be a lovely day.

    Good luck!

    xx
