  1. well lets just say, when i couldn't breast feed anymore i cried for days. thank god i had alot of help from loved ones but.... i took the little milk i had left and mixed it with the formula only a few times then i gave him all formula,he hated at first but soon he got used to it and we haven't had ant problems since and he's 8 months old.

  2. My son was 5  months old.  I had been back at work for 2 1/2 months, and was having trouble keeping up my supply.  He was used to taking bottles already, and was getting a little frustrated with nursing.  I had to take a 2 day business trip, and figured that would be as good a time as any to wean him.  He took bottles while I was gone, and didn't really seem to mind taking a bottle rather than nursing when I got back.  I did get engorged, much to my surprise, and I wore sports bras and used cabbage leaves to help with that.

  3. I got pregnant with my youngest daughter when my oldest was 2.5 years old.  My milk went away.  I told her I had no more milk.  It was pretty easy.  Its much easier when you wait until the child is ready themselves.  I did not get engorged.

  4. My daughter was 14 months when I weaned.  She was already eating a good variety of solid foods and drinking from a cup, and only nursing 4-5 times a day by then.  I just gradually dropped feedings, one at a time.  She weaned easily, and I didn't get particularly engorged.  It took, IIRC 2-3 weeks from the time I decided to begin.  (I wasn't in any huge rush.)
