What did you do when you tried out for the volleyball team?

  1. well the coaches are gonna ask u to run so they know u have enough endurence. i had to try out for 4 days and tryouts were 2 hours each. the coaches might test u on serving one day and passing or bumping the next day. but skills arent the only thing that the coaches look at. they look at ur attitude, how u act around other players, and wether it looks like u have enough potential. basically, the coaches look at everything whether its if u help others get better or if u keep trying and dont give up. the coaches want someone who doesnt give up. so just walk into that gym with a big smile, keep smiling, and try ur best!! i know when the pressure is on u its hard to concentrate but pretend they're not there and try ur best. something that helps me serve is bouncing the ball a few times to calm me down. bouncing the ball always helps. but before u tryout, just keep practicing and try to get better. i hope i helped. good luck and have fun!!


  2. Do two things. Always hustle and always have a very positive attitude. The other stuff coaches can teach. Volleyball is nothing but 1000 habits

  4. She asked us  to serve, bump, volley and she wanted to know if we could spike. Then we had to jump and squat as part of an excercise. As for relaxing, my team was well under control, nobody needed to relax, except for when we were to pumped up. Just remember the Refs are sometimes blind and/or stupid!
