What did you do with your civil engineering degree? Are you glad you got it?

I became a professional engineer and have worked on many different kinds of projects, including designing subdivisions, paving logyards, construction surveying in Yellowstone, and now I teach civil technology and practice structural engineering on the side.

Yes, I am glad I chose civil over mechanical, my other choice.

I got my degree 10 years ago. Have been designing roads and highways since then. And I love it. Getting the chance to use the different programs on my computer, then seeing it get built in the field...cool stuff, to say the least.
