  1. you can sell it on ebay or craigslist or give it away on craigslist or freecycle,

i'd be happy to take stuff for free from you , ;)

  2. my wedding is next year and some things I am going to keep, but what I do not I will put on e-bay or see if some of the girls want it. also fmil and my mom said there were a few things that they wanted so what is left who knows

  3. Right now it is all in totes in the basement as I just got married three weeks ago!! I am lending some to our best man and his fiance as they get married in three weeks. After that, I think I will put it on ebay or something like that!

  4. In my niece's case:

    - The gross of wine glasses and china hors d'ouvres plates went back to the rental agency, dirty

    - the fresh flowers (no longer fresh) were put in the compost

    - the table cloths were laundered and put back in the drawers in the church kitchen

    - the sterling tea services and the silver punch bowl went home to the grandmothers' houses from whom they had been borrowed

    - the last layer of wedding cake went into the freezer to be saved for the first anniversary (at which point we found out that the bride's mother had made it with pineapple and palm-kernal oil because she "doesn't believe" in allergies, and the bride spent her first anniversary violently ill, but I digress) ...

And we ate the leftovers and drank the wine!

Let's hear it for the idea of a non-disposable marriage -- celebrated using what you already have!

  5. The things I bought but didn't use, and the bridesmaids dresses, that type of stuff, all went on Ebay.  My dress will be cleaned and preserved, I think after we have been married in 10 years (God willing I can still fit into it LOL) we will have a vow renewal ceremony and I will wear it again.

  6. my wedding dress I put in my family hope chest, all the left over candles we put around our new house. everything else I put up on ebay or gave to people who were having up coming weddings.

  7. well you can give it to someone who's getting married and don't a lot of money, or take it to a consignment store.
