I thought it was pretty tough. I didn't understand the thematic ( fact's wise) and also the multiple choice stumped me alittle.

If you remember any hard questions may you post them with the answer cause people are probably wondering the same thing. I would appreciate it very much. Thank you!

  1. I thought the test was fair. Some of the multiple choice got tricky but it turned out well, and for the thematic essay, I chose Christianity and Hinduism. The DBQ was easy (about the nuclear weapons, environmental problems, and genocides). The multiple choice was mostly common sense.

I remember some of the answers that I put:

For the monsoons, I put the answer choice that said: the monsoons affected the trade routes and my teacher said that it was correct.

For the question about WWII and which country led some type of racism, I put Japanese because this event took place in Deijing and it's a Japanese country. My teacher also stated that it was correct.

Umm... The question about the white people and discrimination took place in South Africa which was one of the choices.

My global teacher checked my exam already and he said I did really well, so I was happy.

  2. I took many past Regents for practice.  Out of all the tests I took I thought this one had the hardest multiple choice questions, but the easiest essays.

  3. whoever said this test was hard it was nothing compared to last years only some multiple choice were hard and the essays were so easy the dbq all the answers were in the documents so ur just stupid if u didnt know what to write and the theamatic how can u not no 2 religions? just pick christianity or judaism im pretty sure you all know about those to considering you probably are one of those or know someone who is.. ur dumb

  4. i thought that it was ridic easy..only like 2 or 3 MC were hard but the only tough thing was the Thematic essay.. the DBQ was the easiest thing in the world

  5. How could anyone have trouble with the DBQ's!? They practically gave you the freaking answers. And for whoever said they didnt know two belief systems...you're just an idiot.

  6. yeah, im sort-of in the ap euro boat. some of the test was definitely a bit challenging. and for the kids who say, "oh, it was a breeze, there were only a couple things here and there which stumped me..."

...well, guess what? if there were a couple things here and there which stumped you....it wasn't exactly a breeze, was it?

the point is, unless you got a 100, and finished whenever they let you out, it would be wrong to brand the test as a joke.

section-wise, i thought the DBQ was definitely do-able. as for the thematic, the broad topic (unlike the specific topic the AP gives you for their thematic) can really trip people up- I wrote...and wrote...and wrote. hopefully to some avail.

the MC was ok, but because i rushed through the bubonic plague one, i suppose my thought-process was "plague -> sickness -> europe -> colonization"

    see ya.

  7. For all of you saying it was really easy and you did so well, its REALLY rude because for some people it was tough, I thought it was okay, but really have some condsideration

  8. Well the answers for the MC were pretty obvious. It wasn't even process of elimination. The thematic and the DBQ was ridiculous. This test was really easy. You guys are worrying too much. By the way, the AP Euro kids thought it was hard because they didn't even study world history. Common sense, people.

Honors Global doesn't really help when it comes to Regents exams. It's not that much more in depth or accelerated than that of Regular Global, and the only accelerated course would be AP World HIstory, which is about 10 times harder than the Regents.

It was kind of a joke compared to the AP exam.

  9. i guess you can say the exam was pretty fair today.

most of the multiple choices were kind of easy..

the thematic essay! omg, i didnt expect faith systems. i focused on studying more on revolutions and people. urghh, i wrote about christianity & buddhism. it was a bit hard, but i managed... hopefully it was good enough. the DBQs were easy. the only tricky one was the political cartoon about nuclear weapons. i wrote that countries would eventually compete for against each other based on how powerful their weapons were.. resulting in an arms race. the DBQ essay was essay.

ive taken easier practice tests though..

  10. i took ap euro and i didnt study at all. the only thing i did was take tons of practice regents and read sample essays.

i was so nervous for the thematic especially since i had a hard time with the essays on the ap exam but got really lucky.

i know enough about judaism (im jewish) and christianity to apply them to history. for judaism, i did bubonic plague and how they were thought to have poisened the wells because they didnt get sick as easily because they have to wash their hands before meals according to their religious law. and spanish inquisition becasue the people who refused to eat pig were jewish. for christianity, i did the crusades.

all in all, i loved the test. it was pretty easy

  11. Omg, I skipped 4 DBQ's and only did ONE problem for the DBQ essay. I didn't have time. I was still on the muliple choice when we had only an hour left.

Can you believe it......50 multiple choice questions, 9 DBQ's, 1 thematic essay and 1 DBQ essay in 3 HOURS???

  12. i put detente as well.. but the answer was 4.. =/

as for the local authority one.. thats right i think.. i put that too

  13. I actually thought it was soo hard

and im almost positive i failed it.

for the thematic essay i only knew one of the belief systems so for the other one i just wrote i dont know anything about this belief system and that was my paragraph.

the DBQ was so easy and im happy about that

but for the multiple choice i guessed on like 15 or so of them. but im still sure i failed

  14. why are so many people getting the meiji restoration question wrong?!?! doesnt anyone remember that emperor meiji WESTERNIZED japan?...how could it possibly be "closed trading ports" when commodore perry went to japan himself to ask japan to OPEN their ports! transportation was the OBVIOUS answer choice because it fits to modernization/westernization...fools

and to that girl emily, the answer was vietnam..not the korean war? Korea is not Indo-china..LOL!

  15. It was okay. I thought the thematic essay was pretty hard but I guess I aced it cuz I got a 97

  16. with the exception of a few multiple choice it was mad easy

i checked all my mc on jmap and got perfect =]

if i get perfect on my essays ill get a 100 =D

    it was so easy!

  17. i was relieved!! to see the essays, our class did this huge genocide project so tht was an easy one, so was the thematic but it was a little hard remembering exact facts , i found the multiple choice to be pretty hard too, but wen i came out and asked people about them i seemed to have the same answers...the question someone asked b4 about the indochina one was the korean war not the vietnam, and for the meiji restoration i put the modern transport system but someone told me it was they closed the trading ports?

the one with the map of east africa and arabia i think tht one was about the monsoon winds but not sure...still no sign of the answers online?

  18. i gota 88!!!!!!

  19. i think it was okay. there were a few multiple choice that got me stumped. here are the ones i remember:

There was a question about some nation taking over Kuwait. The United States responded to it. The response of the U.S. is known as: I chose detente which i believe is wrong :(

Also there was a question about laws where the Indians should be brought to the Crown and be pleaded with the King first or something like that. For the answer i chose: local authority was decreased and central power was increased or something like that.

Another question was about Japan and the Meiji restoration. I just remember putting something about trading guilds as my answer.

I hope someone knows the answers to these, thanks

  20. I only got 2 multiple choice wrong so I think I got a 99.

Jmap has the answer key to the multiple choice on their website.http://www.jmap.org

  21. I... thought it was amazingly hard. The thematic essay really got to me. I think I got a 1. :) The DBQ wasn't any better. There was like 5 long paragraph ones. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE PICTURE?!?!

Multiple Choice was mostly last year things that I didn't know at all. NYS regents makers need to get a life and make it easier. HA ha.

It's the link to the Grading Corriculum. It's a smaller curve than last year, by 3 points. *CRY*

    --x--

To the post below me: The 2nd one is the same answer I put. For the 1st one... I don't think so and the 3rd question... I think is wrong also.

    --x--

ACE: I also put collective security. It's the only one that fit in the process of elimination! I am freaking scared out of my mind, I really need to see the answer key!

    --x--

YES. You can get in the 90's if you only get 10 wrong, however you would need two 4's or a 5 and a 3. :) AKA 8 points on your Essays. In other words, rare to get...

Use the link above to see the conversion charts.

  22. for the meiji one i put new transportation provided.

for the un - kuwait one i put collective security (i think that's right)

  23. i thought the thematic essay was a breeze but the dbqs were kinda hard but the essay was easy to write.

the multilple choice questions were so hard!  these are a few of the ones i wasn't sure about:

for the meiji restoration i did the transportation system, not guilds.

for the indian one with the crown i did the one about centralizing power.

the kuwait question i did choice 4 and i remeber that it was 2 words.  does anyone remember what they wrote? i dont think it was detente.

for the one with human rights violations in nanjing - was it japan?

also, the question about indochina and america wanting to stop communism -was it vietnam?

i heard that if you get good marks on your essays you can get 10 multiple choice wrong and still get in the 90s.  i hope it's true!

  24. Most of it was easier compared to June 2007 regents

  25. i was guessing that the thematic would be on religion or geography since they haven't been on it for a while and i got sooooo lucky.       ;)  but what did you guys get for the mult. choice question with the triangle pyramid picture?  i said it represented a hierarchal society or something...
