  1. I'd look for sound and playability. I mean you bought the guitar to play music, not to look good.

  2. well, for me i wanted all of those.for price:my second guitar i wanted to spend a little bit more money on cuz i was planning on keeping it for a while.looks:yes i wanted good looks i wanted something whith a smooth surface.brand:well i knew gibson was realy good but it was still out of my price range, and i knew epiphone was part of gibson and sounded pretty good.i mostly looked for brands that were popular that i could trust.playability:this was one i deffinatly wanted i wanted a skinny neck so i could reach the low e string with ease and reach the 12th fret on up to the 22 fret with ease.sound:that was another big one i wanted good pickups that i wouldnt have to replace right away because they sounded bad.and i wanted it to sound good with distortion and all of those effects.so over all i wanted it all

  3. Sound, Quality, Hardware, Palyability sometimes Brand. Made in America is always good too.

  4. Playablility sound and price in that order

  5. well i looked for sound, i wanted to find the guitar that my favorite guitarist played.  back then it was tom delonge haha, so i was lookin at strats.  i didnt end up getting one, i got a jaguar.

i say that i look for sound as number 1, cuz i know that a great soudnign guitar will have me keep coming back to play it.  oringialty is two, cuz i want a guitar that fits me, and not necessarily everyone else in the world.  playability is 3, i need something comfortable, so weight fits into this category, decide if youre gonna have heavy or light guitars.  heavy guitars will sound better because of the better resonance.  e.g. fletcher from pennywise ahd his guitar custom made with a larger piece of wood because hes so big, and could handle the weight, but he also wanted that extra resonance.  price comes next, i think schecters doing somethin good with keeping all their guitars under 1000 so far, but goin a little over doesnt hurt.  looks is next.  brand doesnt matter to me at all, but given how yorue starting a new line, it shouldnt matter to you either
