  1. I played with Lego and K'NEX construction sets, built model airplanes and ships, and drew and played with origami paper.

I am now a mechanical engineer, so I'd say yes it did.

  2. I always pretended to do any kind of office work, lol.  I bought my first electronic typewriter when I was 7 (computers were RARE).

At 19 years old I became the youngest Loan Officer in my state (and probably farther) and was next in line for Asst. Manager at a private Credit Union.  I also set up all their computer networking, payroll, direct deposit, etc.

So I'm gonna say 'yes' to this, lol.

  3. My brother and I played with Legos and K'nex and all sorts of other building/construction toys when we were young, I read lots of books about astrophysics and he spent a lot of time on the computer when we were older, and when we get out of school he's gonna be an computer engineer and I'm gonna be a physicist... so they're probably definitely linked. But did playing with those toys cause us to develop a love of math and science, or did we play with those toys because they were toys that allowed us to do something with that love of math and science? I'm leaning towards the latter - my sister had access to all of those toys, and played with us frequently, but is currently interested in lots of other things (which generally don't involve math or science).

  4. beat the %^& out of my little brother;  no, I don't do that now...
