What did you think about the New York Times article about yahoo answers?

Today's New York Times Magazine (June 29) had an interesting article about Yahoo Answers with the title "The Oracle collective" (oracle as in "source of wisdom, advice, not the database company). It stated, among other things, that "answers" gave ordinary people the chance to connect and sometimes reassure eachother, even when almost all the knowledge in the world is available through search engines and other resources.

What is your opinion about why answers is getting it right?

I loved the article! Answers is getting it right because we are all connecting as pupils would in a classroom. We are conversing with others instead of getting links to articles or websites that are "relevant" to our questions.

Though some answers may offend or make some people angry, they still mainly come from ordinary people around the country who has an opinion to express whether good or bad and that is what makes yahoo answers as a good source for getting it right....
