I thought he was hopeless and his sending off of haymen was completely unjustified and changed the outcome of the match. Also does anyone know if he will be reffing any important matches at the RWC for the sake of the game I hope not.

  1. One first of all must congratulate the Australians on their win. One cannot blame the referee for everything when a team loses.

The All Blacks only have themselves to blame and I am a Kiwi.

They played bloody poorly and also they put a player onto the field who first of all had not been selected due to injury. Sitivatu i am talking about, did he not have a broken nose.

Basically we got dicked by a switched on Aussie team. Yeah our scrum is world class but we still got penalised sveral times.

I think a change or two for the next game with Evans outside Kelleher with brendon leanard coming on in place of Weepu who basically is a very poor imitation of an All Black Halfback and part of the reason Carter is haveing a form slump.

But anyway makes the World Cup more interesting doesn't it.

  2. Don't blame the ref when Australia played a very good game and the All Blacks beat themselves with wrong back line selections. Regarding the Hayman affair, get to know the laws. A tackler cannot play the ball on the ground. Doing it after the ref had spoken to the All Black captain about killing the ball, was not very bright. It was a good decision.

  3. Totally agree, and I'm neutral,

he was a disgrace as was the linesman . The refereeing had an impact on the match which it should never do

  4. I'm guessing you'd be a kiwi then.  I thought he had a good game.  Yes, he will be refereeing in the World cup.  Of all the Southern hemisphere referees, i think South Africa has produced the most consistent and fair refs.  But we are still behind the quality of referees from the northern hemisphere.

well answered Neil, but to be honest i didn't think either team played particular well.  While to Kiwis had trouble with their back line movements and basic handling ability.  The Aussies have a lot of work to do in the scums, line outs and defencive pattern.  The best thing that has come out of the game is that both teams can now work on these areas with plenty of time before the world cup.

I agree that this world cup is going to be a cracker.  While i would obviously like Australia to win,  I wouldn't mind if the kiwis win as they DO deserve to, but what i would most like to see is Argentina become a world class team for the good of rugby.

  5. Actually the officials in most ot the games are pretty good and decisions spot on. Of course there are the odd ones that miss the eye. You are just one eyed and had the All Blacks won would you still harp on this issue?? FYI  I am an AllBlacks supporter from way back. One thing I know is that they tend to choke on the most crucial occasions. I am hoping this time they will go on to win the World Cup.

  6. Don't think you should try the blame game and hold the ref responsible for the defeat of the All Blacks.

    Some errors ars acceptable.

Well done to Wallabies. They played a very good game and that last 15 or 10 minutes were simply champegne.

  7. I thought the ref had a good game apart from the sending off of Haymen. Haymen had stripped the ball before the both of them were on the ground. But in saying that he called it as he saw it and it was marginal. At the end of the day the kiwis defence was c**p and the aussies played well and I think both aussie and s.africa have plenty more up their sleeves. Should be good world cup!!!

  8. Stop moaning.

When the All Blacks choke yet again at the World Cup, will you blame the ref again?

In actual fact the ref had a very good game, I think the grit and determination of the Aussies won the day for them, not the referee.

The ref was completely within his rights to send Hayman off. The All Blacks are well-renowned for deliberately slowing down opposition ball by playing it on the ground. You're gonna get punished if you break the laws of the game.
