My family & I were not impressed......hip-hop dancers, & an old rocker.....the only part I got and liked was the cool double decker bus.

  1. I personally thought it was a bore fest and so random. You just didnt know what an earth was going on. At least I learnt something from the Chinese opening ceremony.

The who rock, pop thing squashed together plus the audio on Leona was BAD. She should of sang-one moment in time,  better in time or a moment like this. It would be more appropriate to the Olympic theme.

There was no substance to it. Just shows the lack of culture that English have.

Would be good if they had a Scottish bag pipes, bollywood and Caribbean dance /music to show Londons major ethnic communities.

  2. It was kind of awkward for me because I was watching all this Chinese traditional things. And then all of a sudden a double decker bus comes out. Then there's a guy playing a guitar. Lol it did not fit with atmosphere of the Bird's Nest at all. I was hoping it to go back to Beijing's closing ceremony lmao. In my opinion, it was really boring. I mean they can't match China's population, so they're not going to have many people. I could barely hear the music too. London really blew it this time. Spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on an ugly ***, lame logo. Please that is so ridiculous. Judging from this performance of London, Beijing wins hands down.

  3. Nice, but weird.  Did not really understand the part where they had people walking on top of people.

  4. i didnt like it and i didnt like the stairs part because i didnt get it and the girl stepping on peoples back wasnt great either

  5. Hmm not that great. Don't get me wrong it was ok, but boy did Beijing set a high standard for the games to come.

    I want to go 2012.

  6. i felt it has little to do with olympic in its true nature. its more like selling the country in terms of tourism aspect.

  7. The Olympics are not about the opening and closing ceremonies they are about the games. Let the athletes in, light the torch (OK a few fireworks for the easily pleased) then get on with the games.

  8. lets say they werent as great as china's closing ceremony. London's part wasnt very organized and it wasnt very amazing or anything.

  9. agreed with Johns L about the little girl stepping on the people. What's that all about.
