  1. I can't rememebr it.....

  2. It reminded me of Hitler's speech to the Reichstag in 1939.

  3. He's had better, which isn't saying much.

  4. nothing special.

  5. Where is all this money going to come from for all this new foolish spending he is promising. My paycheck again?

  6. He made sure everything was clear to everyone & as you will see hear the people who needed to listen to the most didn't listen at all. The need Fox News or Rush's brainwashing techniques to get & keep their attention. The whole convention showed the country how magnificent things can be when done with integrity....Now we see what the Bush/McCain people attract, disaster.   We are getting a good view of what we will have if we continue on the same path. If we make a change the convention showed how well things can work with a leader who is focused on harmony, peace & prosperity.

  7. You mean the "Just words, just speeches" convention?

  8. Loved it.

  9. I think it was the best speech I ever heard and obviously so did McCain. He panicked and picked Palin for his VP.

  10. Electrifying, great, smart, touching, thoughtful, and tough!!  there is more but I do not need to elaborate that far you watched it enough said!

  11. What speech?  Oh, that one that took place way back last week.

Old, old news...are you jealous that Obama is already a bit of a "has been"?

  12. He sounded like Hitler...everyone at the time loved him and thought he was a great speech maker.

    McCain 2008!!!!!!

  13. It was low on specifics, but brought up some good points.  My main criticism of him has been his inability to present solutions to all the problems he mentions.  It's easy to get someone to agree with you that there are problems, but what we need is solutions to the problems, not reminders of them.

Hillary kicked his *** again, too.  He made a mistake in not choosing her for VP after she won the popular vote.

  14. He Nailed it.

smacked McCain so hard got him out there s******g up decisions.

  15. His speech was Okay I guess.  My problem is that he made many major statements that are diametrically opposed to his entire campaign platform.

Some of my biggest concerns is is claim to "cut taxes for 95%" of the american people. Which Bush claimed.  Additionally, he promises to have the troops home from Iraq by 2010, which Bush promised when this whole thing geared up in 2002 (They forcased 8 years and speculated between 5 and 10 years total).  They are also promising to revisit the "No Child Left Behind" debacle and develop it further, which originated with the Bush administration.  And Finally, Obama says they are going to "fix washington" ... which was originally a tagline of the Mitt Romney campaign on the republican side.

So it is starting to sound like if I vote Democrat, I will be stuck with another 4 years of george bush's "failed policies".

Now consider this ..  the Obama-Biden campaign says we should not vote to support another 4 years of Bushes failed policies, so I can't support the Democrats after all by their own advice.

  16. He has an incredible speechwriter, He also has a boatload of charisma and is a great public speaker. You know who else was a great public speaker...and wrote most of his own speeches to boot? David Duke....now that guy could get you to disbelieve gravity if given enough time. Yup...voting against Obama...I like my freedom too much.

  17. I was mesmerized.  He inspired me like no other candidate has before and I hope he becomes the next President of the United States.

  18. It was amazing.....

  19. Hope...

  20. One of the best of our lifetime. Remember where you were when you heard it.

  21. Personally I loved it. It was the first political speech I actually sat down and watched the extent of it. I was tearing up with emotion and glued to the tv for once.

I never understood why people joke he is the "messiah" because I learn about him through reading and I try to stay away from mainstream news as possible. I wouldn't call him the messiah but he does seem to have a lot of great ideas that just might work.

On the other hand I can't wait to hear McCain's speech. I like to hope that both candidates can offer something to this country because let's face it, it's one or the other.

  22. If you like a 4th grade speaker and a 3rd grade writer then it was ok,but Obama is NOT smarter than a 5th grader!  Mccain/Palin 08

  23. I thought that is was good.  Well written, and excellently delivered.

  24. Very eloquent, but with no substance.

  25. Reminded me of Hitler
