  1. Well, Rafa said he wasn't able to practice much going into this tournament because of the blister, so it's not surprising that he started off slowly.  But he seemed to be moving well, which is the main thing for him.  A win is a win, especially in the opening match.

  2. Is there something else in your life besides your obsession with Nadal??  I hope for your sake there is.

  3. Are you basing this assessment on the fact that Rafa did not win 6-3,6-1 ?  If you watch Rafa's matches religiously, you would know that he does not win that way very often. He is notoriously a slow starter in matches just as Agassi was. Rafa also likes to be on the court and it takes him awhile to get warmed up to his match play level.  A 2 hour match, especially when his play is sharp, accurate, and filled with bounding energy and intensity is the best workout for him. Anyone who watched the match could plainly see that Rafa's blisters are obviously fully healed and he was never in any real danger against Starace. There is a vast difference between being in danger during a match and facing a  competitive opponent who played quite well. Rafa is clearly healthy and intently focused.

  4. No fear El Matador is a fighter and is pacing himself. He enjoys tight matches that take a while to complete. Due to his real injury unlike Djoker's ficticious ones Rafa played through the pain like a champ. He should be fine against Murray. The big Scot has improved but lacks the heart of a Champion which Rafa has in abundance. Oh and Federer played well and won. Oh and Top-seeded Ana Ivanovic was upset by Bulgarian qualifier Tsvetana Pironkova 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 Wednesday in the second round of the Italian Open. What a great day it has been so far.

  5. He looked like he was struggling, especially in holding onto breaks. He got one in the second set and lost it quickly. The tie-break looked dodgy too. I think Murray may stand a chance of beating him in the next match. Good luck Rafa, I would hate to see Djokovic become the next number 2.

  6. no offence, but do you mind asking questions about someone besides nadal???

    you seem obsessed with him.

  7. yea, I'm worried. It seems he struggled to win the match. He was 3-1 down in the first set and then came back strong. But, the 2nd set score has me worried :(
