What did you think of Superman Returns? ?

Question

There are tons of people who don't like it, and think that Brendon Routh is a lousy actor, but what do you think?

In 2010 there will be a sequel to Superman Returns

Superman Returns was not a bad movie.. it was ok. I am a superman fan. But i think that the problem was that they tried to connect it with the Richard Donner series, which was a perfect superman movies and in the returns movie it had holes in the plot. But Brandon Routh was a pretty good superman..they only thing that was wrong was that they tried to make him look like Christoper Reeves. Which he is not and no actor will reach his level and the could try something fresh with the superman character. They could have tried to pick a better Lois lane. Rumor has it that warner bros has a plan for a reboot for the superman series.

It's a decent replacement for the other part "III" and makes it easier to forget "IV" ever existed.

I think most people think it's too much like the first film and not enough of it;s own, and hopefully the next one, if it's ever made, will be more action-oriented like "II" was as the producers claim.

Let's hope the underperformance of "Returns" hasn't hurt Superman's chances for another sequel.

but

superman returns sequel take an amazin' hero change, batman vs superman, (not confirmed) and the next sequel, superman dies...

Rumors said that take 2 films more. superman 2 superman 3, and superman 4, just like the oldies... and possibly, justice league, XDDDD, wooow!!!

There's plenty of room for improvement, in my opinion.  Superman Returns was a snoozefest for the most part and it could have easily had an hour of the boring parts edited out and been a better film.

i am one of superman fans,...i must admit that Batman begins and The Dark Knight is better.  But Superman Returns is not bad at all...I've kind like it...Bryan Singer really knew how to make angle of superman flying. at every angle. So perfect.  What they couldn't do in Superman 1-4.

And Brandon Routh although perhaps , his acting is not mature yet...but he is the perfect replacement of Christopher Reeves.  He is suitable as Superman.
