  1. I'm not a director but I thought the whole film was absolutely excellent. From a viewers point, it gave me a huge insight to the absolute tradgedy of war. Some people that I know who have seen it, thought it was too long. I was stuck to the screen from the first minute, to the last..I almost felt that I was, in some way, connected to the characters in the film, brilliant directing....


  2. The movie, in my opinion, shows the brutality of war and the camaraderie of soldiers in the most dangerous positions they were ever likely to find themselves in.  The link below expresses the movie far more eloquently than I ever could.

  4. I enjoyed the film. whether or not something like that would actually happen I do not know. It was a romantic notion I think.
