Offensive or funny?

And also mention if you support Obama or McCain.

Personally I find it funny, and I support Obama. Just wondering about other people's reactions.

Thanks!

  1. it was in poor taste and was shown with NO context, there was no lead that it was a satire. just the photo. bad editing decision. even McCain said it was lame.

  2. I think in the end, it will hurt Obama. I do not support either McCain or Obama. [I was a McCain supporter but not anymore] Neither one are good for this country. I'm voting Bob Barr.

  3. Hey, I thought it was pretty funny.  Obviously it's offensive, but if what his statement said is true, then I think it's funny.  Apparently he said he was just trying to portray all the different Obama-isms he could find.

    I'm for Obama myself.

  4. i think that it was funny but it does not hurt obama

    i support mccain

and im tired of the liberal media it pisses me off

  5. Hilarious and I am glad someone did it.  No one is above it ...what is that saying?  whats good for goose..ya

  6. I hate the New Yorker, lol.

    The cartoons are very...plain.

I guess I'm simple minded but,

    I support Obama 100%.

  7. Muslims regularly murder Westerners & protest over dumb cartoons. It is amazing how sensitive Muslims are about it. Now I am watching Barack Hussein Obama & his ilk do the same thing about the New Yorker cartoon.

It is unbelievable this fool could be our nominee for Prez. The New Yorker is a totally pro-Democrat publication. I have to vote for Sen. McCain. I hope everyone is with me on this.

Granted, Barack Hussein Obama had a string of caucus wins in mid-February. Then the carpet-bagger’s true colors started to show. In the end, Hillary began trouncing Obama in primary after primary, sometimes by margins of two and three to one! Obama barely won it. It seems the more people know about Obama, the less they like. We really need a do-over or Hillary to be nominated in at the convention in Denver.

  8. More proof that the liberal media is a myth?

I already have my "Don't blame me, I voted for Ron Paul" bumper sticker. :)

  9. I think its distasteful. That is not satire, that is just insulting. I am glad both parties disapprove.

  10. i think it's funny but i do not support obama

  11. I support McCain-------but can see humor in this----I would not be offended if the shoe were on the other foot.----There is much talk about doing that very thing----and I'm sure they will.

  12. I thought it was funny; but then I laugh easily.

Barack as Osama Jr., Michele as Angela Davis, burning flag, okay it is hilarious.

I've been offended by people claiming Barack is a Muslim when obviously he's a Christian of sorts.  But then still, a little doubt creeps in (considering who his friends, associates, and close supporters are),,, well, there is a hint of terrorism [friend Bill Ayers, unrepentant] and Black Militancy [mentor Jeremiah Wright sounds like a Black Militant], though Barack himself doesn't present this image....

Anyway, it's nothing to get excited about.  I mean, political cartoons are like that.  You can disagree with what it says, but it is no more offensive than somebody writing an article to the effect that Obama would be a really bad President.

I'm not voting for Obama because I vehemently disagree with his policies, but I have felt a certain liking for him as a person.

  13. I just know Obama will be a disaster for the economy, our familes, our country, and everything we hold dear. Can u see the Gov't running the medical system like they run the VA? Cartoon or no cartoon, I am voting for the War Hero, Sen. McCain.

  14. My guess is that it was supposed to be satirical in response to all people who insist Barack Obama is a Muslim terrorist out to get America and bring it down. The New Yorker probably got so sick of it that they ran the cartoon. Why it's distasteful-the 2,000 people who died on 9/11 and our troops serving in Afghanistan and Iraq. Who people vote for is a personal matter and it should not be demanded of them of whom they support. Had you given me a choice, I'd have answered that part.

  15. I thought it was accurate and authentic in every respect! Obamanation lost it when he started to back step on his war position! Now he's attempting to spin his way out of that flip flop!

  16. The style it's drawn in is dumb,I can't tell if it's anatomically correct or not-then again my eyesight's terrible. But I'm rambling about a tasteless cartoon.

It's kind of offensive to Obama, but if he gets mad about it,that's going to make it look like he's being defensive, which will make voters suspicious!I rest my case!Plus,it's just a ******* cartoon. My god, lol.

I'm too young to vote (most likely won't vote when I'm old enough, anyway, lol),but I'm for McCain.Obama would make a nice president, too,as long as he isn't really a terrorist. You know what'd be a twist? If McCain turned out to be a muslim terrorist.I don't really care who wins,as long as he doesn't have anything against me.

  17. i support him yet also found it funny but i think it was messed up at the same time

  18. I think its absolutely hilarious. I support neither. I supported Ron Paul and will probably write in a vote. I was thinking Mickey Mouse, because I seriously believe he would be a better President than either of those two. But anyhow, I just hear done of the funniest things (and most sensical) on the Daily Show.

"Here's what Obama should have said, let me put the statement out for him: Barack Obama does not care, because he is not an extremist Muslim. There is only one type of of people that take cartoons seriously and they are extremist Muslims, which Barack Obama is not. Its just a  f&^*!n cartoon."

  19. Its mean and offensive.  It is very disrespectful and only there to sell mags.  No one buys The New Yorker anymore so they have to do something to get attention.  Why don't they spend more time interviewing people to find ways of making the US a great country again and stop wasting everybody's time with this dribble.  Its stupid.

  20. was totally appauled.

    hated it!

and the obama-rama is over here!

    lol

  21. It might be a little offensive, but isn't it more mocking of the media surrounding the election, rather than Obama himself? Isn't it mocking the whole 'terrorist fist jab' thing and the ridiculousness of it all?

  22. The "cartoon" was stupid and noxious. But it was also propaganda. While the New Yorker might claim that they are being satirical, there was nothing satirical about it. They were only using the cartoon image in the same way that a propagandist would. The "cartoon" also signals the media tilt toward McCain, which is the candidate that the media really prefers. That is why the media beat up constantly on Hillary Clinton. Because they wanted her to lose. Had she won the nomination, McCain would be dead meat. With Obama in, they can secretly promote their candidate, McCain, so that Americans can get more of the same: high gas prices, endless war, high prices, dropping housing prices, more crime, corruption, lower social security, more taxes, etc., etc. That is the secret game plan, and you are pawns in it. You are being manipulated by the media to serve the power interests that really rule this country. I know that I've covered topics that may seem far from your original question, but they are all really exactly on point. The cartoon is about manipulation. It's working because Americans are easily manipulated by the media. They tend to believe whatever the media tells them, no matter what absurd things the media tries to shove down.
