What did you think of the Roosters' hit on Craig Wing in Round One?

I see that Big Willie, Shrek, and Anasta have really improved the club attitude down at the Roosters. That was a dog act and really I had no surprise to hear how much Braith Anasta was enjoying it.

Brad Fittler was one of the best, toughest, yet fair competitors I have ever watched. What he is doing with these f*$ktards from Belmore, I will never know.

  1. It was what I expect to see these days in the NRL - a cheap shot and the officials doing nothing

  2. it was deemed legal. Great shot

  3. It was cheap but leggal, im fine with it, bcuz  its the toughest sport in the world and dats wat separates us from the wana be tough sports like GAYFL, Union and american football

  4. It is something the Roosters have coached for years and something Fittler and the boys condone. It was a cheap shoulder charge in the spine, by a rooster... Adrian Morley anyone... not exactly news at the Roosters, dirty play.

Don't try pin this on the Doggies it was a cowardly shot by a Roosters player... and supported by cowardly rooster players and their coach.

  5. Like the grapple tackle I had no idea that that sort of thing was practised by teams. While it is not considered as being illegal i don't believe it is i in the spirit of the game, because Like the grapple tackle it shows how dangerous some  defencive manovers  can be if the timing of a tackle goes wrong, because of that we would be better off without it in our game.Perhaps in the future maybe coaches could look at the worst case sernero of a some practised  defensive drills that could cause a serious injury. While coaches have a lot on their plate to worry about it may turn out to be one of their best moves.I dont believe for one minute  that someone like Brad Fittler would go out of his way to seriously injure a fellow footballer,(or anyone else) for that matter.Hope you have a speedy recovery Craig.Go the Rabbitohs.

  6. i have NO problem with it, it was a legal hit so all the bunny fans should stop their whinging, it was within the rules - game over........

  7. hey it was a great game go the roosters! some people would say that it was a cheap shot but.. he was still on his feet so it was a legal hit so good on him.

  8. Its footy ,,not lawn bowls !!!

He was smashed,,and it wont be the last time it happens to any of the NRL players.Injurys are part of the game Im afraid.

  9. it was a cheap shot.

It was obviously set up by those three to target Craig and the ref shouldve called held because the tackle was HELD.

What i dont get is why the culprit was standing in the back and as soon as Wings back was exposed, he went in.

  10. Cheap shot!

  11. he shoulder charged someone in the back, what is there to say? I hope if he had his time over again he would pull out of it, not that it does Craig Wing any good to hear that.

  12. I think the rooosters planned that because Riley Brown didn't have to shoulder charge Wing, all he had to do was get Wing to the ground and there are other ways to do that than shoulder charging.

    CHEEP SHOT!!!

  13. i think it was a cheap shot for the reason that he was basically already on the ground with his back turned to riley brown.

however as for a a third defender coming late into a tackle happens all the time, but the attacker is usually standing up resulting in a spectacular hit.

so i dont think there is anything wrong with the action, but the way riley brown did it was very very cheap.

  14. Im a ROosters fan and ill be honest if someone pulled that on Anasta or Minichiello id be pissed too.

But it was legal, i put it down to Riley wanting to make his mark in his debut.

As a fan i'll take the Belmore boys before i'd take those idiots from Parramatta!! They are a dead set joke!! Tim Smith and Jarred Hayne need to check themselves into AA and concentrate on their footy, not trying to pick up lowies,

  15. there was nothing wrong with the tackle ,it was legal and thats the end of that, its a tough game and if they cant handle it then get out .go the mighty roosters, ps it amazes me the way that mason ,omeally, anasta etc get pillarid but i think i have found the reason"JEALOUSY"

  16. It doesn't matter how they dress it up, it WAS a cheap shot & I also agree with you about Freddy. He shouldn't have those creeps to contend with.

  17. It's a bit rude to be having a go the bulldogs about this!  Anasta has been a rooster for four seasons, Mason and O'Meley weren't involved in the incident at all.  That shot was late, cheap, dangerous and cowardly.

Oh and it was one hundred percent rooster.

  18. It happens all the time, in every game. The only reason it was soooo bad was because, Craig Wing stayed down with a dislocated shoulder. Even after the game, Craig Wing didn't know what all the fuss was about.

  19. Cheap shot.

    Dirty play Rorters

  20. It was cheap shot of the lowest kind.  Just what we expect from the Roosters.

They must have been a bit scared of the bunnies? They must have thought they could not win the game any other way.

Freddy and his mob should be ashamed at the level they have stooped to for two lousy points.

  21. well how cowardly can u get, i surpose the bloke who did it in a fight would want 2 people holding the other person and king hit him from behind.but that is what they train in eastern suburbs cause they can't play

  22. I think that it was  very bad sportmanship, especially when they said that they were going to go out to get Craig Wing and more should be done about it. Every other time it would have been said that he made a late tackle and been penalised.
