  1. Re: Red Sox.

    What world are you living in.  The only time the Red Sox had any lead, it was 3-2 in the eighth.  Yeah,they lost, but it was not earth shaking.

  2. i felt happy about it. the angels haven't swept anyone in awhile :)

    it really felt good though especially against boston because well ehhhhveryone knows what the angels gone through post season against boston -__-;

    it was nice to sweep em with espn showing angels AT HOME which i tell ya NEVER happens!

    NL west, i was surprised that the d-backs blew the lead.. again.. its a tight race now

  3. As a Yankees fan, I loved it. Yanks swept the A's and we got to see the Rays and Red Sox fall. Just getting a little closer to the top of the AL East.

    But I'm not giddy. There's a lot of season to be played and the Red Sox are still monsters at home. Here's hoping the Yanks can make hay at Fenway this weekend.

    In the meantime, thanks, Angels.

  4. I think it's still July, let's wait another month before we start picking out the contenders here. With a 162 game schedule, teams like the Sox can lose 5-6 in a row and still be fine, and teams can win 5-6 in a row and miss the playoffs.

    Patience...

  5. I personally hate the Red Sox, so I love it every time they blow a game.  It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

  6. no western team will win the world series.

    its just a good series for those teams.

  7. Ecstatic that my Dodgers pulled off such a great comeback! I could care less about the Angels, though.

  8. A bunch of misconceptions in your questions.  Yes, the Angels swept the Red Sox.  The Red Sox led by 2 yesterday and one today, never what I would call a comfortable lead.  Second, the Red Sox don't have their most reliable clutch player, David Ortiz, but will when the teams next meet in two weeks.  Third, yes the Dodgers beat the D'Backs, but come on, no one in that division is over .500 right now.  If the Dodgers were in the AL West, they would be in 4th place.  Finally, although it was hard being in Angel Stadium and cheering for the Red Sox the last two days, the last time we were there was October, and then the sweep counted.  Will that guarantee the same result this fall?  Of course, not.  The Red Sox might not even make the playoffs.  The Angels certainly will.  Will the Angels go to the World Series?  After this weekend, I would have to say they could.

  9. All I think about these events transpiring before me eyes is the words....

    Here come the yankees.

  10. As a Yankee fan, I loved it & I think the Angels are going to be the team to beat in the American League
