  1. I believe environment is one of the most important factor in the early stages of civilizations. Not only do people change the environment, but environment changes people.. Color, and other physical features. And people have differnet recources to work with, so they have to adapt.


  2. Of course environment is important. It is, after all, nature via nurture.

  3. Xofer is right, and I would like to add to that a behavior trait that we all deal with yet today. I think that our tendencies to surround ourselves with people we perceive to be like us is indeed a sort of clan survival instinct, or adaptation. And this is why racism and prejudice would seem to be such a small hurdle to overcome, yet we have to deal with it every day.
