What different types of engineering careers are there?

Could someone please give me a list of all the types of engineering careers there are, and state what kinds of qualifications you would need for the specific career.

There are many fields of engineering. Look at the wikipedia page for an idea of the different types. For any engineering career, you will need an engineering degree which is typically a 4 year degree. Many countries also require a person to obtain a Professional Engineer designation before providing services directly to the public.

you could pretty much become anything with an engineerign degree:

financial analyst-could probably do any type of eng. for undergrad and then get an mba

pharmacist-chem eng.

city planner-civil eng.

architect-civil eng.

physicist-

or you could do electrical and go into nanotechnology or something...pretty cool stuff

so as you see, the list goes on and on...
