What different types of fade is there?

Question

what different types of fade are there? and are they normal haircut? For all my life my mom chooses a haircut flattop with zero in the back and i dislike it. but now i want to chose a different type of haircut, I don't know many types of haircut but my friend said get a fade and i was like ok. I was wondering whats a fade look like? Also everybody provide your email so i can contact you for any questions. Thanks!!! =)

It's just another short military style hair cut. It's really hard to describe but it looks good and probably MUCH better than what you're working with.  Get the fade (that's a crazy address but it should lead you in the right direction)

I think that the taper cut is better looking though.
