  1. I recommend to buy Canon PowerShot SD870IS.

This is a great point and shoot camera in almost all respects. The build quality is excellent as is the 35mm wide angle lens and the videos out of the camera. As far as point and shoot 'take everywhere and anywhere' cameras go, the Canon SD870IS is one of the top ones.

Excellent pictures and and the large LCD screen is crystal clear. Load up time is significantly faster than the popular Sony cameras.

Moreover, this is a very handy, tiny and light camera that you can carry in your pocket without feeling it.

I highly recommend it for its small size, image stabilizer and long life rechargeable battery. The screen is huge and the colors are really good.

The Canon PowerShot SD870IS uses the nb-5L battery.

    Pros:

    1) Sharp photos with great color saturation

    2) Optical image stabilization

    3) Great battery life even with image stabilization on.

    4) Speedy shot-to-shot time for an ultra-compact

    5) Bright 3" screen that's easy to view in all lighting situations

    6)Great movie mode

    28mm - 105mm 3.8x wide-angle zoom lens

    7) Easy to use controls with intuitive GUI

  2. i am sorry but this might help you

look under ultra compact pocketable easy to carry and most like ly rechargeable lithium ion.

ps  i like PENTAX Optio M50 with 6400 iso god for low light too and lots more

  3. I think many camera manufacturers have moved away from flashcard memory but canon still provides a wide range of fcard based camera.

Since you need about 1hr of video recording you should be looking at video cameras that take good still photographs and not the vice versa.

I would suggest goto CNET.com and do the research.

Sorry I dont have any to suggest right now, I am in the process of doing the research myself.

    Ash
