  1. The radiant will be to the right of the big dipper.  But the meteors will appear in most sections of the sky.  Especially in the north, the east, and overhead.  If you can find the "w" in the sky (Cassiopeia) that's close to your radiant  (radiant is where the Perseid's will appear to all "come from").  But like i said, they can appear in almost all parts of the sky.  So don't focus on just one area.  I would avoid looking at or near the moon, cause the light pollution will hinder your viewing in that part of the sky, and looking at any bright light will mean your eyes will need time to adjust to darkness and see the fainter stars and meteors.

  2. Look straight up... that's your best bet.

PS: Sun rises in the East and sets in the West... that's an easy way to know which way is North, East, South, and West.

The meteor shower should start from 2-3 AM tomorrow morning, and there should be an average of 60 meteors per hour. I'll be out there looking at them too. Good luck, and happy observing!

  3. The answer to your question is pretty much just -- up.

Get yourself a nice comfy chaise longue, lean back, try not to fall asleep, and enjoy the show.
