What dirtbike should I buy?

Question

Hello all Iam new to dirt biking and i asked what bike i should get a 150cc or a 250 cc and everyone said even though its my first time get a 250 cc considering im 6'2. So i was wondering does anyone know of any good 250 cc bikes that are around 5000$ or 6000$ and by a good company such as (Honda,Kawasaki,Suzuki) I would rather not have a no name company . All Answer appreciated

the '08 kawi 250f is the best 250cc bike of the year, get that one. but if ur going for an '09 then i say suzuki 250f its a great bike it wont let u down.

you definetly need a 250 and almost every 250 is in the 6000 dollar range. i would strongly suggest honda because from my experience they have the cheepest parts because it is the biggest dirt bike selling brand in the world and the most reliable and easiest to maintain.

if you are looking for a trail bike, like a fun desert bike that you can still jump but will be comfortable and good to start riding on, the xr230 made by honda is a great bike. it wont have to much power, but way more than youll be able to handle for your first few months riding. but after becoming a better rider you will definetly need a more powerful bike.

if you are looking for a track bike than i would suggest the crf250r by honda which is powerful but you dont have to use all the power. unlike the xr230 you will be able to ride this bike for years and still have plenty of power.

well I don't know why anyone would want a CRf150 because those bikes suck I would much rather ride a 85 anyway pretty much all the 250s are in your price range and 250s aren't like the biggest bike in the world so the real question should be 250 or 450 because with your size you could handle both but the 250 with ease

Have a look at local bike club web sites as they often have a for sale section and you can pick up race bikes that have only been used a season.  

Other than that have a look on craiglist

The 150cc is way too small for you and the 250cc 4 stoke the way to go.
