  1. strictly speaking up to a 1/2 mile but line of sight must be available.

  2. 14 miles?  it is a secret like 2 all beef patties, special sauce, spit and cheese, some flies with that?

  3. Very simple....if you can see them or they can see you then they got you....

  4. They only need line of sight...

If you can see them, they have already clocked your speed..

  5. You will get the answer in about a fortnight if they have clocked you.

  6. they can clock you up to half a mile away

  7. Modern cameras can pick you up over half a mile away! They may have you before you even see the van which makes a mockery of the oft quoted statement that the vans are highly visible and clearly marked. They are now using the mobile cameras on roads with fixed cameras already in place. The message is simple. If the road is marked with the little camera signs then they could be on it. Here in West Yorkshire the police publish a list of which roads will be hit with mobiles that week.

  8. If you can see them, they can see you.  Try slowing down.  Remember, the oil is running out.  lol

  9. once you see them, its too late.

My mate had one of those road angels. Got caught on the A3 near guildford. He said my road angel never picked you up! The officer said, thats because we got you a 1/2mile away.

  10. If you can see the camera then it has already photographed you. They work on line of sight. On mist UK roads the maximum distance for this will be about 1/2 mile,
