Question:

What distance is this?

I ran around my pond 60 times.

I measured my pond as 2080cm around the edge that i was running.

In metres that is 20.8

I rounded that down to 20.

I figured out the distance in metres was 1200.

Is that wrong or right? And what is the real distance if I didn't round the metres down?

  1. I would have definitely lost count as well...!

Anyway - 1600 meters is considered the "metric mile" so a few more laps around your pond will get you about a mile....

Maybe there's a bigger pond nearby?...!

  2. I think that it is 1248 metres if you don't round it down so it is a bit over a kilometre.

lol I would have lost count if I ran round a pond 60 times...
