Which division do you think is the best this year:

AL West, AL Central, AL East, NL West, NL Central, NL East?

I'm going with the NL Central. With the Cardinals, Brew Crew and Cubbies, every year is a showdown in this division. Every year these teams compete for first place. At the end of the season, the winner of this division only wins by a few games, within a ten game range. Currently the Brew Crew is trailing the Cubs by one game. The Cards are trailing CHicago by four. This is the best division!

  1. AL east cause 3 teams in contention

  2. i would say the AL East because 4/5 teams are god but only 3/5 are good in the NL Central

  3. Definitely the AL East

The Yankees, Red Sox, and Rays have been in the race all season.

  4. I say the central. Because they realize that they are only baseball teams and don't think that they are some higher power. (a reference to the previous guy who said that 4/5 teams in the east are god)

  5. AL East without a doubt the Yankees, RedSox and Tampa have better records than the other division leaders.

  6. Well, the NL Central is pretty interesting now.  We've never been regarded as a good division, so it's kind of nice now to turn on Baseball Tonight, SportsCenter, etc. and see them actually talking about baseball in the Midwest. :)

  7. NL Central is tough, and resurgent, but the NL East is also tight.  Those two divisions are close, but the AL is still better than NL.  So I think the toughest division is the AL East

  8. are you talking historically, or this season? Historically the NL Central is a JOKE, but this season I'd have them right up there with the AL East, with NL East 3rd.

  9. it's interesting you ask this...things have changed a bit...i won't bother to rate the divisions, but you are definitely right about the NL central...and before anyone writes off the reds here, do a little checking...they aren't as bad as they've sometimes played, and much improved over the last few years...and to ignore the fact that the cardinals have been doing so well on so little proven talent, while showing larussa for the good manager he is, is to ignore the very real possibility that the cards will fall away from contention now...

and don't be surprised if the reds catch the cardinals, at least...in fact, it's a distinct possibility that they will finish second this year, though the brewers made a big pickup with CC...still, the cubs are the class of the division, and i really don't think anyone can keep up unless they have a big injury or two or simply tank it...and that won't happen...

but yeah...this division is a lot better now...
