  1. cutting and pasting they can't get enough of it I have a 7 year old that won't leave the scissors and the tape alone for a full day and try collages (not sure how to spell it) where they pick something hey are interested in and flip through magazines and say they want cars or butterflies they cut them all out and paste them on a board it is really pretty and it gives them some thing to show off for all the hard work they have been doing-while they get the chance to be individuals and make a decision themselves on what interests them and them alone w/ no pressure to make there picture look like someone Else's-they are all going to be beautifully different

  2. clay !!!!!!!!!!

  3. I think they like coloring. They also like playing art games like pictionary. They also like makin animals of all sorts ecspeccialy  dogs. You could make origamis and they like using markers alot! Hope I helped! Tell me if I helped.

  4. starting to read and slowly trying to write and dealing with clay and stuff.

  5. You could teach them about rotational symmetry. Also, teach them about the primary colors. I learned about those in kindergarten. We learned about which colors make which. You can also teach them about oil pastels and use them for an art project. In my 3rd grade class, we tried copying a "Starry Night" by Van Gogh. We used his as an example. I loved it. You may teach them how to use water colors. You could paint with them. Really, you could teach them many things.

  6. when i was 7(like 6 years ago) i remember bring a smock and we finger painted!I loved doing that and i still do.

  7. I recommend "Drawing with Children" by Mona Brookes.  It is avail on ebay and amazon or new from veritas press.

  8. mixing colors to get new colors

  9. paint, beads, paper, glue. anything that makes a mess and is brightly colored.

  10. usally painting getting your hands into it and coloring the page fully

  11. see, the thing is that they like finger painting, self portraits that are very easy(grading wise), making cars and boats and pictures of their family, and sometimes for the more interesting projects they somethimes like to take a picture and make a frame and then the frame and the picture can both go home so the parents will like it too! hope this helps!!

  12. It's good to teach them about primary colors, the color wheel, basic texture, shapes of objects, lines, mixing colors, etc. etc.

They enjoy things like drawing on paper with chalk, painting with water colors, drawing, cutting things out, making things out of clay, and different themed art projects.

Of course with this varied age group, the younger ones attention won't be held as long as the older ones.

  13. i think it is cutting of paper, colour mixing, primary colours, and like seeing to cartoons and if u are a art teacher then u can draw many cartoons for them and give them some idea of it.i am not telling that u teach them how to make them it is bit ddifficult but u can teach their facial expression and of course finser printing and cutting of vegetbles and then printing.
