These days, the taste like .......cardboard.

Lots of chemicals to make them grow to perfect shape and size and bug free. Then washed with Atomic reactor cooling water to make them last forever fresh.

I have vague recollection of fruits and vegetables tastes from my childhood. Sadly an enjoyable experience lost in time.
