  1. they dont care they dont realize that it is soon happening then when it comes there are going to try to do something then it will be too late

  2. MOST GOVERNMENTS DONT CARE, JUST TALK ABOUT IT EVERY 3 MONTHS

  3. Well, obviously the U.S. has been dragging it's feet, publicly, anyway.

But the funding is there, and it seems that it is more than what we are obligated to do per our treaties.  It is also due to the logic that global climate change can affect our future economy and national defense.

A few sites below to let you know what different agencies are up to.

  4. President Bush says he understands it is real but believes it will hurt our economy too much to control greenhouse gasses before China and India agree to do so also.  It is likely that the next administration (whoever wins the election) will be more willing to take the leadership role, given that this county is the biggest contributor.  The fear is that China and India are developing so fast that reductions in the US will be overwhelmed by these much more populous countries as they develop economically.

  5. all they want is to get more tax money for any reason

  6. Most of them dont even care about it, all they do is worry about politics and othere stuff like gas prices and taxes. They really do not understand what we are close to facing.

  7. The government acknowledges that it's real, both republicans and democrats. The republicans are afraid of taking action quickly because they don't want higher environmental standards to interfere with corporate profit margins. They play the "higher taxes" card while they don't seem overly concerned about gas doubling in price over the space of a few years while oil companies rake in record profits. Right wing media also gives cover to this stagnation by dishing out a constant stream of misinformation and confusion into the public in order to keep them wondering if the issue is important enuogh to do anything about.
