  1. I absolutely loved it. I was only there for 3 weeks but it was enough to get me hooked. my fiance lives in Rugby, so I stayed there for a while and visited around Warwickshire. I really tried to blend into the culture whilst I was there and received many compliments about it! I loved how laid back everyone was and I loved the food, sights, sounds, and definitely the smells of flowers that bloom there. It was the best vacation EVER and i fully recommend vacations there.

  2. I am American but lived in the UK for 8 years. I loved it there.

The people were nice, great food, shopping was wonderful and the nightlife was fun.

  3. I think it's great! I haven't been to England in years, but I really want to go back. Even though I hate stereo-types, they're in everye country.

  4. isn't it basically the same except with more tea and crumpets?

  5. Don't they love it? Altho I think they do think we are all tea and crumpets! There's a bloke in Orlando who's opened 'Churchill's Tea Rooms' on Highway 192 just to reinforce the twee impression of us all! Good on him.

  6. i don't like Crumpets, or tea :-S

i don't think they will truley understand our culture unless they are serious anglophiles or they have visited us alot or lived here for a period of time.

    P.S "Up The Gills"

Gillingham F.C?? tut tut ... what a dissapointment, i hope you enjoy league 2 this season ;-)

  7. this is interesting because my girlfriend who lives in pennsilvania is coming over for 6months next friday and shes scared stiff about it. She'd never been to the uk before she met me and she had the sterio typical image of us brits. She thought we all said "cheerio"and were all very prim and proper, i think her ideas came from the books she read when she was younger. Needless to say, after meeting me her image of us changed. Im sure she thinks the uk is backward compared to the us, she couldnt beleve tesco dont sell reese's peanut butter chips!!!! who cares,,peanut butter makes me want to hurl,,,,,,,,,

  8. Sadly, most Americans don't know much about Brit culture to have a well-educated opinion.  I happen to love it, but I'm just one American.

  9. These answers have made me hungry for a crumpet D:

    I love being a Brit ^.^
