What do Californians think about Al Gore receiving the Nobel Peace prize for his work on global warming?

According to the American Lung Assoc. the top 5 American cities for the worst smog/ozone are all in California (at least according to their 2005 data). What is your take on Al Gore receiving this prize?

Why is there no money in S. California to clean up this mess?

All this does is demonstrate how politicized the Nobel prizes have become.

BTW - the problem with smog in Southern California is caused primarily by the mountains that surround the major cities.  If you want to pay to have those mountains moved  then go for it.
