What do Collingwood need to perform better?

Question

I am very proud of the side and their performance on Saturday night, but at this stage of the season, I think that they should be higher on the ladder.

Collingwood did very well last year, and I really thought that they'd be right up there this year.

We have great facilities, some great players, a lot of young developing players, and heaps of experience in big games.

I just think that the Pies are missing something, and I want to know what you think it is.

Nah seriously, they need to all pull their heads in a bit, and start to realise that if they want success as a footy club, they need to take some responsibility, both ON and OFF the field.

well we cant get rid of didak because "side-by-side we stick 2gether", we are doing really well for a team that has a lot of players that havent had more then 3 yrs in the game and we have a great coach. we probably just need a big forward target like rocca or rusling back. that should make us nearly complete

and keep Heath Shaw for a period and look at his attitude and skill

The magpies are a team of a strong utility and players that can run hard and get boot to ball efficently, at least that is what they were about a month ago. I know that their performance on saturday night was inspiring and brilliant - but i have noticed that their confidence is down sometimes, like they will put their heads down or simply look frustrated. I think that the team physically have the ability yet mentally they need a boost - all of the drama with didak etc. hasnt really affected them (they won and played well on saturday which shows it didnt affect them much on the field) and i think that they used that incident to show the football world that they are a strong club that wont stand for the wrong things, it really does show how they came out strongly on saturday, that they can win games but mentally they need a bit of a push and on saturday that push was the incident that happened earlier in the week.

they are a top side but seem to lose the 'easy' matches against side's lower on the ladder, it's probably a case of losing focus.  

when the pressure's on though, they really can perform.

as for the current dramas, they should just get over it, these guys are still very young, and that can translate to 'very stupid'.

whatever the situation is, this is definitely a team for the future....
