I know that Environmental Engineers spent time in labs and offices and need to travel a lot but what do they do?

Is the Zamorano University (In Honduras) a good place to study?

Environmental engineers need to know about all the environmental laws and regulations.  They will conduct field studies or research documents to find if an environmentally sensitive area is within a project limit.  They will make recommendations to project teams on how to address environmentally sensitive areas in their projects.  The options are usually to avoid, protect, or mitigate.

They will make recommendations to project teams on what features are required in a project to protect the environment.

Environmental engineers work with resource agencies in obtaining permits and environmental clearances for projects.
