What was the item and the inscription?

The item was a ring he got out of a Cracker Jack box. As for what's engraved...it is never explicitly revealed in the movie. There is a closeup of the ring, and if you were watching the film in a theater you might be able to read it. But if you watched it on a small screen, it is difficult to make out what it says.

It's been a while since I saw it, but something keeps telling me that it was a ring out of a cracker jacks box, but I can't for the life of me remember the inscription. Now I have to watch!
