  1. no offense meant but when i see a guy wearing shorts... i know he's a tourist

    :-P   teehee

so i'd say : long shorts

  2. It depends where. If in town, or at work, French men tend to stick to traditional trousers in a lighter material. On the beach or at the seaside some French men wear shorts if in their leisure time, but not many. Capris are worn by some of the younger generation, but jeans are really still the universal wear for teenagers. In towns, shorts, long shorts, cropped trousers or capris immediately indicate a tourist.

On the whole dress has remained more formal in France  than in UK or the US, with the exception of ties which are often not worn, even in smart restaurants. Men often still sport light jackets though.

  3. this site about every thing in france contain on wears toohttp://french.about.com/library/begin/bl...

  4. In areas with mosquitoes, usually advisable to wear trousers or jeans. I don't think there is a particular dress sense anymore - it is common to see knee length shorts.
