  1. It means the student is just over the line to be eligible for a GATE program (gifted and talented education).


  2. Gifted and talented education (GATE) tests are usually IQ tests in my area. An IQ of 131 would mean that you're very bright, in fact, in my area you qualify for gifted and talented education. It's a good score, embrace your intelligence, and do something wonderful with this valuable gift from god.
